How has God used you to SHINE the light of Jesus this week? Share your story here!

Yesterday launched a brand new series called, “SHINE.” The service was great but the best part will be the stories that come from it.
Pastor Jeff talked about how our life was created with the sole purpose of “illuminating Jesus.” We have been given the privilege of SHINING the light of Jesus to our friends, neighbors, coworkers, and community. Toward the end of the message, Pastor Jeff challenged the crowd to SHINE Jesus this week. Each person attending received a white envelope that had a special mission inside it. Some missions said, “deliver cookies to a neighbor…or…take a meal to a homeless person…or…buy coffee for someone you do not know…or…offer to babysit a friends kids…or…write a note to a coworker appreciating them…or…deliver some treats to the police or fire department…or…leave a note and a candy bar appreciating your mailman in the mailbox.” Some envelopes even had a $20 bill with the instruction to bless someone in need.
This series is truly going to be a life-changing series.

Way to go Lifepoint! How cool is it to say that our church walked pretty much the entire beach from Fort Fisher to the North End of Carolina Beach picking up trash. We had between 80-90 people from Lifepoint participating. That makes me proud.
So far the most random things found on the beach will have to be a buried case of beer, a coconut, fluorescent light bulbs, and 47 million man-o-wars. If you found something random please let me know.
We did postpone the picnic for two weeks. We will release details about that soon. In the meantime…enjoy some pics from the beach sweep!

These are some CRAZY DAYS at Lifepoint. I am completely excited about where we are right now as a church. I believe that God is positioning us to make one incredible impact on our community and our world.
Here is a rundown of the CRAZY stuff God has allowed us to experience lately.
New Staff Members:

School Supplies for Myrtle Grove Middle School–We had the privilege of delivering over 40 backpacks to the school to be distributed to students in need.
New Student Ministry: IGNITE–Launching on Sept. 6th we are kicking off a student ministry for middle school and high school students. We are about to make one massive impact on the students in this community!
Fall Kickoff: Sept. 9th–We are jump starting this fall with a brand new series called STUCK? There’s nothing worse than feeling stuck in life. Join us on Sept. 9th and learn how to get unSTUCK!
Porn Sunday: Oct. 7th–Yes, you read that correctly! Why in the world would a church talk about pornography? Great question! Join us on Oct. 7th as we confront the Elephant in the pew.
As you can see this fall is going to be absolutley incredible. Don’t miss a minute of it!

just wanted to let you know that we are alive and well. we are back in fortaleza for the night and we leave at 4am in the morning. the trip was absolutely amazing. we experienced some intense spiritual warfare and saw the kingdom of God advanced in a forceful way. i had the privilege of baptizing 19 people! God rocks.
ive got to run. were off to dinner. Brazilian steakhouse. we deserve it.

The Blend series is underway. If you missed last week you can listen to it here . Each week we will look at how God intended for us to handle human relationships. This week we have a special treat for you.
Be in prayer this week for our team that is in Brazil on a missions trip. The will return home late Friday. Pray for influence in this community down there. Pray for Joe, Arimar, Jeff, Brad, June and JP that God will use them and grow them.
Men’s Prayer will be at 6:00AM Wednesday at the church office (5202 Carolina Beach Rd. Unit 12).
